Hi. I’m Tonje.

And I’m Silje and we run ‘18 Café og Interiør’ here in Horten.

We’re two sisters from Horten who’ve been away to study then come back and started up here – which we think is great.

It’s all our own interests: coffee and flowers and interior design.

We found an absolutely brilliant location which made us really want to go for it. We both lived away from Horten for a few years.

I lived in Oslo, and Silje lived in Trondheim.

I studied marketing, Silje studied photography.

And then we wanted to move home again.

When we were both finished and ready to try something new, that’s where ‘18’ came into the picture.

What’s great about running a business in Horten is the town and the people – all the really nice people who live here.

Now it’s become a bit of a family meeting place too.

We meet family members who maybe we don’t see so often otherwise, but they pop in here.

So now it’s the place where we meet up.

Friends, old teachers, neighbours ... You’re always meeting someone you know here.
